Carpe Diem! Civic Space for All!

13:40 - 15:00
Room 201, Shaw Centre

This session will feature accounts from CSOs and governments illuminating:
  1. How restrictions on civic space have frustrated the achievement of diverse OGP goals, from anti-corruption to effective service delivery
  2. How the lifting of restrictions, or the provision of more enabling environments for civil society, unleashed the power of civil society to catalyze the achievement of OGP goals.
The audience will assist in distilling lessons learned from the accounts, as well as sharing illustrative experiences of their own.
