OGP GLOBAL SUMMIT 2018
As lead co-chair of the
Open Government Partnership (OGP), The
Prime Minister of Georgia, Mr. Giorgi Kvirikashvili, will host the 5th OGP
Global Summit in Tbilisi, Georgia, on July 17-19, 2018. Representatives
from more than 70 countries are expected to attend, including heads of state
and ministers, public officials, members of parliament, local authorities,
civil society representatives, international organizations, researchers, and journalists.
The Summit will provide an
excellent opportunity for leaders from OGP’s 75 participating countries,
local governments, and beyond to exchange ideas on how they are making
their governments more transparent, accountable, and responsive to citizens.
It will also be an opportunity for practitioners and experts
representing different fields, sectors, and regions from around the world
to talk about goals, challenges, and best practices in the implementation
of open government reforms, inspire their peers, and push the open government
agenda forward to address new challenges and improve the lives of citizens
around the world.
Continuing the spirit of co-creation, the agenda for the Global
Summit will be based on an open call for proposals. Starting March 5, 2018, members of the OGP community are invited to submit their
ideas for sessions and speakers here.
We are inviting proposals on the following priority thematic tracks
identified by the current co-chairs of OGP - the Government of Georgia and Mukelani Dimba: Civic
Engagement, Anti-corruption, and Public Service Delivery. Other
topics will also be considered for an open track. To contribute to
the agenda, please submit
session or speaker proposals by March 31, 2018.
