Q.How do I register? Is there a registration deadline?

A.The Registration Form is here. There is no registration deadline, but we encourage you to do so as soon as possible. Further information regarding accreditation will be available closer to the Summit.

Q.Will there be on-site registration?

A.There will be on-site registration, but attendees are encouraged to register in advance.

Q.Do I need to register for Civil Society Day separately?

A.No. Please indicate on your Summit registration form that you would like to attend the CSO Day on Tuesday 17 July. Only representatives of civil society organizations active or interested in OGP can attend the CSO Day gathering. Capacity may be limited. If capacity is met, criteria will be made available to prioritize who is admitted.

Q.Do I need to register for POC day separately?

A.No. If you are an OGP government Point of Contact (POC), you will receive an invitation for these meetings with further instructions.

Q.Do I need to register for other associated events separately?

A.Do I need to register for other associated events separately? Yes. Some associated events do have separate registrations. Please check with individual event organizers for those details.


Q.Do I need a visa to enter Georgia?

A.To enter Georgia, participants must complete all immigration procedures. We strongly advise you to review all the requirements for travel to Georgia from your country before booking your trip. Please consult this document to determine whether you are eligible for an eVisa, must apply for a special visa-on-arrival, or can travel to Georgia visa-free.

Q.I need an invitation letter for VISA purposes. Who can I contact?

A.Please register for the OGP Global Summit and answer “Yes” to the question “Do you need an invitation letter for VISA purposes?”. An invitation letter will be issued by the Georgia Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 2 weeks of your request. If you have any questions or have not received your letter within 2 weeks, please contact one of the following:

Q.I need an invitation letter for other purposes. Who can I contact?

A.Please contact summit@opengovpartnership.org with requests for invitation letters for non-visa purposes, such as providing a letter to your employer. Please include your full name and preferred title in the email request

Q.Can my visa application be expedited?

A.Please note that unfortunately OGP cannot influence or expedite the visa process. Please apply as soon as you know that you will attend the OGP Global Summit.

Q.Will travel support be available? How do I apply for travel support?

A.Yes, travel support is available on a limited basis and prioritized for speakers and session organizers. To apply for travel support, please register for the summit and indicate “Yes” for “Do you require travel support?”. The deadline to register AND request travel support is Friday April 20.

Q.What are the criteria used to assign travel support/scholarships?

A.Criteria for assigning travel support to civil society from the OGP Support Unit can be found here.

Q.When will I receive a response on my request for travel support?

A.The Support Unit will review applications on a rolling basis starting in early April. The deadline to request travel support is Friday April 20. If you have requested support and not received an update by May 31, please contact travelsupport@opengovpartnership.org.

Q.Where will the Summit events be held?

Q.Are there any preferred hotels? Are discounts available?

Q.Where can I find the Summit’s program?

A.*The provisional Program will be released by mid-May. *

Q.How can I contribute to the Summit Program and Agenda?

A.Starting March 5, 2018, members of the OGP community are invited to submit their ideas for sessions and speakers here. We are inviting proposals on the following priority thematic tracks: Civic Engagement, Anti-corruption, and Public Service Delivery. Other topics will also be considered for an open track. To contribute to the agenda, please submit session or speaker proposals by March 31, 2018.

Q.Where are the Global Summit venues?

A.Information about the Global Summit venues will be provided shortly.

Q.Will sessions be live-streamed?

A.Yes, some sessions, including the opening and main plenary room sessions, will be live-streamed. Check www.ogpsummit.org for the livestream during the event.

Q.What is the hashtag for the Summit?

A.The hashtag is #OGPGeorgia.

Q.Will meals be provided throughout the week?

A.Lunch will be provided at the venue on Wednesday July 18 and Thursday July 19, as well as coffee throughout the event.
